You know I was thinking the exact same thing about the timing of that PR. The guy is a great addition but why now? Why a software guy when the phones are about to be unveiled?

Loudon Owen was announced as an advisor on January 25, 2018.

Considering the above Cold Hard Facts, I suspect Mr. Ilja Laurs has been on board for quite some time.
