3gDollars, having some slow response times in doing searches on IHUB just now, but did find a ref to IDCC's TD-SCDMA "work underway". It was in Howard's prepared remarks from the 2Q conf call and I found it in post #40930 here by Data Rox;
"The Company will also, in an associated area, continue to explore the viability and profitability of the TD-SCDMA market and will participate in any appropriate opportunities. Simultaneously, we have initiated certain activities focused on government and military contracting. While we have generated....."
If memory serves, in an earlier conf call IDCC commented about having a "dedicated engineering team" working on chip designs for the emerging TD-SCDMA opportunity. (Actually, I seem to have a recollection of a complete "ref design" for a TD-SCDMA air interface system being marketed by InterDigital, but that may have been for WTDD.) The comments copied above from the 2Q conf call appear to be in reference to those earlier disclosures about the TD-SCDMA activity IDCC has "underway".
