Why is it an issue that someone recommend Warwick? I have seen some very good ideas from people who were not involved in the production of a product. I would consider it a bad thing to ignore a great idea just because it came from a shareholder.
If I remember right they made a contact through SSM prior to WM. But WM was a much better fit for us since they are closer to a high tech job shop that a mass producer.
Receiving a good idea and moving forward on it is never a bad thing. No matter where the idea came from.
Second question... Plenty of American companies to learn from.... Why was it that with all the people here with such exemplary research skills nobody posted these pitfalls? All those companies got there in the past few years? Because if I remember right their laws were modified quite a bit in the past few years.
Can anyone produce an example of any company that has been given the ok to move production into VN in the last 3-4 years that also announced the plan to locate in VN within the last 3-4 years?
I don't doubt there are a couple maybe. I doubt that anyone studying the "plenty of companies" could show a result of their study that hints at the pitfalls we have encountered.
Had Kim gone to VN 10-15years ago with $100k he could have bribed his way into the country in a month like plenty of companies did. But foreign companies have new laws to follow and GMO producers had no laws on the books. So a foreign GMO producer is going to hit pitfalls that no other company has hit and no amount of study would expose.
Armchair quarterbacking is simple. Getting on the field without getting slaughtered is not.
