Could anyone know? And if so, how.....

Well for starters by educating him self on the business atmosphere and possible pitfalls of doing business there before he committed. There's plenty of other American companies that have been there for a long time he could have learned from. He may be good in the court room but he obviously doesn't have a clue how to network and make inroads in the business community. He had to be taken by the hand and led to Warrick Mills by a poster on this board.

He thought all he had to do was show up in Vietnam and say, "Hey look at these great worms I had a scientist make for me," and he'd be making metric tons of silk in a few months. That was 3 years ago and he's bombed out in one province, got supposed approval from another, but nothing but lip service from the central government.

There's a very good possibility the whole operation falls flat on it's face thanks to his boneheaded leadership. That's why it can't even hold 5 cents.
