It’s true. I believe the poster was Yankee, if memory serves. Your source would be the archives of this board. I believe you’ll find he talked about his efforts here on the board before the actual PR/announcement took place. I’m sure plenty of other posters will attest to this as well.

Ben Hansel has admitted this. Yankeeclipper has been acquainted with Charlie Howland for some time and introduced him to Kim. After years of Kim making claims about all the "names" interested in his silk The Army, through Howland, is the only one that is know. I doubt we would even be above a penny if not for their interest.
