Does NWBO need to make a press release to the public when they decide to finally do a data lock?

No, they don't need to tell anyone. Because the results aren't known yet, it's just another part of the ongoing trial.

Hi Finding,

The mPFS of both the control and trial arms are both in since both are most probably shorter than 20 months and we are already about 22 months removed from the randomization time of the last patient that entered the trial. The mOS of the control arm is probably established because it most likely is shorter than 22 months. The mOS of the trial arm most probably extends several months beyond 22 months and has therefore yet to be established.

Also with both requirements OS 233 and PFS 248 being reached. Wouldn't the median OS already be figured out from the entire group of 331? So there really is no need for the company to let the trial go on further than the 233 OS events. Right or am I missing something here?

We don't know how many of the patients in each of the groups (control and treatment) evented, and when the events occurred. So, no, it's not a certainty.

I was slow to buy into this idea, but numerous posts have swayed me: if the PFS/OS events in both the treatment and control groups are close to being part of a normal distribution - and if the control group events are anywhere near what was expected - then we should have positive results, maybe even great results. I think that is likely, and therefore imo there is no reason to extend the trial.
