Keep in mind that the event rate doesn't change much through out the trial, as evidenced by the steady 4.8-5.0 composite rate.

I believe this is an inaccurate statement.... as the trial progresses the event rate does change. More patient year exposure to the placebo accelerates total events. It's like rolling down hill and picking up speed; eventually you only go so fast...but you will accelerate. R-I total events are accelerating more events in placebo arm v. less events in treatment arm.

You could be correct though?

AHA/ACC bedding on Omega guidances should be front page news by the way. Hopefully will be picked up by the media soon. I expect the PPS to react very favorably when this happens.
