right, if you just look at the raw numbers then it is Giambi, But I disagree that Giambi is the team MVP, because there are so many things that Jeter does that Giambi can't even dream of doing. Jeter is much,much, did I say Much better in Defense? Yes, is he a much better base runner, absolutly, He steals bases to help set up runs, as the number 2 batter on the team which gives him 1 chance every game to come up with less RBI's than Giambi does, it may not sound like alot however that happens approx lets say 123 times so far. He is hitting .385 with runners in scoring posistion and .388 with 2 outs and runners in scoring posistion. I agree with your thinking that Home runs and RBI's are important however, where your thinking is flawed is a good example of a team filling it's roster with home run hitters was the texas rangers on year wanted to fill their roster with heavy hitters and just outslug everyone. They went noplace. a very big part of that was also because of their pitching but there is more to the game than just going up and swinging a bat to make a MVP or to win ball games.
