I'm not knocking anything and said so in my post. My dad was on Donepezil (aricept) for quite some time before he passed. I hope they do find something that makes it work more effectively.

My point concerning bryostatin is it could be given much earlier to stimulate synaptic growth or even to maintain synapsis and memory in the first place. That market would be basically every baby boomer out there, not just ones who are already experiencing memory problems. Obviously that's a very long shot and I readily admitted in my post that Anavex might be the more likely of the two to be approved, but the better news for patients IMO would be for bryostatin to be successful. More of a solution to a problem than a treatment of a symptom if you will. That's JMHO. I'm certainly not an expert. Just trying to give my take.
