But, in this case Yazbeck controls both sides of the loan, so he can purposely cause default, for his own benefit. Completely different than a Credit card.

A loan should be referred to by it's current terms not it's penalties

However 12% is a bit steep for loaning oneself money.

And the penalty terms are insane - the Captain is not going down with this ship
