I think Dimension is entitled to compensation for some of their expenses. But what proportion of their expenses went to pay for motions that were unsuccessful, and how much of it went to a series of counterclaims that were mostly lost?

If they can establish that they lost business opportunities and investment for some actionable reason I imagine they will pursue it. It hasn't been demonstrated so far. I thought things were going swimmingly at Dimension.

But it doesn't really matter whether you believe I really believe what I say, or even whether what I say is correct. The court order matters most. It has not decided any of the exaggerated things the one and half Dimension supporters here say it has.

This looks like a survivable injury for Tmm at least so far.

TMM was utilizing the fought over software when Cavanaugh was attracted to TMM in 2011, he stated as much in his shareholder update. Then he added up to 10 programmers to "fast track" development of the codec. Then he stated he wasn't going to use it but bought DFI (Simpson was once again rewarded for his theft) anyway just so they could shelve this "attractive" codec that they evidently didn't figure out how to use.

A small start up company goes to a large user and says hey we've got this great technology and even have patents on it.......but we're tied up in a legal battle as to the ownership of our little gem. Want to buy some? Not encumbered you say?
