The FDA keeps public aware of trials that are enrolling or not. If FDA and NWBO agreed that it was in the public's best interest the trial would have a halt on screening.
Everybody is living longer - this is something that neither the FDA or NWBO could ignore and it would be prima facie evidence that the trial would conclude in a manner that was not planned, but would still be a huge positive.
