Trusted Mouse...

The mouse will have to be secure. The current security initiative of the PC architecture is a systematic architecture change towards security.

Mice are input devices and may feature even more means to input data (i.e. Smart card slot or other) in the future.

Any data using the USB will have to be encrypted.

That's the problem of today's PC. It was not designed with a systematic approach to security. Security has always been an "after thought".

Doma - data mining INCLUDES mouse movements. There are folks as interested in where you position your mouse and DONT click as well as where you position your mouse and click. In addition to this what if your digital signature was a mouse click on an icon? What if someone could spoof your click? In light of all the above a trusted mouse makes sense to me :-)
