Students From Donald Trump’s Alma Mater: ‘You Do Not Represent Us’

Some 1,400 students and alumni from the Wharton School condemned the GOP candidate’s “prejudice and intolerance.”

Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 [ https://www.wharton.upenn.edu/wp-content/uploads/125anniversaryissue/trump.html ]. The mogul usually cites the Wharton school as his alma mater rather than simply saying he went to UPenn. This is misleading because it suggests he went to the business school to receive his MBA [ http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2016/01/what_does_donald_trump_mean_when_he_says_i_went_to_wharton.html ]; in fact, Trump only spent two years at Wharton’s undergraduate school after transferring from Fordham University.
What’s more, Trump doesn’t seem to have left much of an impression in college.
Reports from the Chronicle of Higher Education [ http://chronicle.com/article/Trump-The-College-Years/237013?cid=RCPACKAGE ] and the Daily Pennsylvanian [ http://www.thedp.com/article/2015/08/donald-trump-wharton-classmates ] found that many classmates had never heard of him. There’s no evidence he made the dean’s list or graduated with honors, The Daily Beast [ http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/09/21/trump-won-t-prove-he-was-a-super-genius-at-wharton.html ] reported.
No current employees or faculty in the Wharton school have donated money to Trump’s campaign [ http://www.phillymag.com/news/2016/06/28/donald-trump-wharton-penn-donations/ ], Philadelphia Magazine reported last month.
Among current students, the College Republicans club president, a junior in the Wharton school named Jennifer Knesbach, told USA Today College [ http://college.usatoday.com/2016/03/23/wharton-students-on-trump/ ] that only a “small minority” of members are sympathetic to his presidential bid.
The UPenn administration has avoided commenting [ http://www.cnbc.com/2015/08/17/is-trump-good-for-wharton-school-mum-on-famous-alum.html ] on Trump.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg Says Supreme Court ‘Up For Grabs’ If Donald Trump Is President

And seemed to signal a certain female candidate may be a better choice. “It’s likely that the next president, whoever she will be, will have a few appointments to make,” Ginsburg said.
