Answer: Issuing shares to raise Capital is seen as a Positive by investors, thats what Publicly traded companies do, they sell shares to raise capital, its how companies get to where they need to be.

Share buybacks are also seen as a Positive by investors, it shows that the company has gotten to where it needs to be and now has the capital to retire shares.

Issuing shares and share buybacks go hand in hand with Publicly traded companies.
Some issue shares to raise Capital, some like Apple issue Bonds to raise capital.

Lets All be grateful that the Issued shares have been pre-sold and not flooded on the open market.
Lets also be grateful that LMT issued shares instead of Filing for Chapter 11.
And lets all be Super grateful that GameSc is back posting Vital Facts about our investment, its great for all the Longs.

water dilutes coffee.
cream dilutes coffee and adds flavor.
dilution is good if it improves the total mixture.

Price of the stock offering (dilution) DOES MATTER.

Li offering is at 3X premium.

Stock offering is about raising cash. How much cash one company can raise is about its strength (i.e. how much does investor want those share)

Perhaps one should read into Investopedia upon start up operation and how typically cash is being raised (AND YES DILUTION AT A PREMIUM)

Typical behavior of public trading company upon stock offering is not in the position of strength (hence lower price). "FINANCIAL" investor usually got "low ball price" shares at the back door for being the "life savor".

LQMT is not a start up and has not been in a position of strength for a very long time (hence all those true water down dilution),

This very last deal with Li is not TOXIC. It is a "balanced" deal. Li invested in this company both in a "start up" mode (because company has something he needs) and a "white knight" mode (because company is out of money).

I'll add one thing to what others have already pointed out as a critique to your post.

An article that clearly talks about positives when a company issues more shares:

http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/what-penny-stock-investors-should-know-about-dilut.html

It is clear for most on this board that when Liquidmetal sold Li shares for 3x the amount of what shares were priced at the time, and also added 64 million to their bank account, this was a positive for us.

Many are trying to spin this only into a negative for shareholders.

As you said, let each shareholder make up their own mind, but please reference the full spectrum of articles on the subject.
