How do you know the "Russian fiasco", as you put it, is even in the mix. I doubt if AMEX would use that against GTE, if they had, in fact, insisted upon the company doing something which turned out to be ill advised. Wouldn't that be like shooting themselves in the foot?

Personally, I don't think it's as simple as it's been made out to be. We have no proof that AMEX insisted the deal be published as a material event...do we? All we have is hearsay.....no? We have no idea what info the company passed on to AMEX...if at all. Don't take anything for granted.

As for the RS, how did that hurt the company?

So much has been said about the AMEX creating this conspiracy.
AMEX is a major exchange. Do you think the AMEX would create a conspiracy against tiny GTE just to get it delisted?

Also, Huff has stated that the AMEX forced the Russian release. Do you really believe that? Why would AMEX "force" the release and then delist GTE for the PR being too forward and incredible...as it was.
GTE is 100% responsible for whatever comes out of GTE.

I have been invested now for almost two years and I see the blame squarely on GTE. Since we have moved over to the AMEX, GTE has had compliance problems even before this issue; they were basically still on BB land mode thinking anything goes.
I for one would hate to see Huff go, even if he actually is the one that created most of the problems. I want him to FIX all this, once and for all, as he has told us many times he would..."just you wait...we are now a producing company and no longer an R&D company...2006 our year…" well, show us!! Show the AMEX and all this will be resolved. UNLESS there is more here than meets the eye, and the AMEX had no choice but to delist.

dfmantx, yes Amex has blame here too but to throw it all on the naked shorts is just plain niave. To say we are where we are because of them is not accurate. Some are spending way too much time on an issue that neither GTE nor the SEC for that matter,can control.
