He is getting to the point he is over the hill. I know you want to believe otherwise as he has another year on his contract, but he isn't aging gracefully.

He didn't need to prove anything, Perez has had his number over his career. I think it is much more about his dislike of Perez than standing up for Jorge.

Mussina has shown some troubling signs his last three starts too. Despite doing a good job staying in the hunt to this point, I think the Yankees could be in some serious trouble.

The Red Sox have been struggling too, but they are getting some of their young pitchers into the mix before the pennant race heats up and they are responding.

That is a good thing with Wakefield having back problems, Clement shoulder problems and Wells most likely done. Timlin is also starting to feel his age with his shoulder strain despite looking good tonight.

I think we both still need to keep a wary eye on Toronto until they prove otherwise.
