I don't think anyone has claimed this -

Ridiculous to think GTAT is / has been producing boules still for Apple.

Ridiculous not to.

Why does the Mesa fab consume 250000$ in energy a month pointing to 5M+ KWh including solar? What does the fab need water for?

> What about all their fabrication equipment being auctioned in a few weeks, conventionally sold, and sold through the auction last month.

Nice tax credit. Apple can pay for it as they had been supposed to under the original agreement. Leverage remains unchanged.

> Not to mention a total loss to the inspection equipment from the May Fire.

Who cares. That's R&D equipment.

> All the DD available points to a complete wind down of sapphire materials production.

Sleezy US lawyers do. Legal conclusions only. Testing, R&D, and expenses make the fact that there had at least something on a minor scale been produced really obvious.

> Anything else is just connecting dots that are not even there.

That's your dots.

> It's not just the court docs or GTATs situation as a whole. MANY China/TW sapphire firms have announced big spending this year (just last month we got a few announcements about huge investments into sapphire production plants) in order to ramp up sapphire materials production.

See? Fits within my picture.

> Sapphire is ramping up, no WAY will it be ready to supply the demand for an iPhone right now.

Sure can the operation of all furnaces starting Mid-September entirely suffice. Trust me on that one.
