I have been on some conference calls where there is a way to mute everybody except the leader. When someone wants to speak they must push a number to unmute themselves. Today they finally did mute everybody, but when he asked for questions he unmuted everybody. It would have been better if the person who wanted to speak unmuted himself by pushing a number. That way all other noise makers would remain muted and could not disturb the call. I am not talking about people muting themselves from their own phones. That would never work as many would not do it. I am talking about setting up the conference call like I described. Maybe the people running it just did not know about the other feature. Or, maybe they need to check into setting up that kind of a cc for next time.
