Seagate FDE drives and Wave

The Seagate/Wave connection seems to be a similar deal we had with Dell a year ago. As I remember, customers have to purchase our Software directly from Wave to enable the Seagate disk encryption. At the moment there is no bundling, when Seagate starts to ship the FDE drives. When we had the purchase option at Dells website, where ETS was (is) sold for 44.95, the upgrade percentage was very low.

I like the fifty cents more than 12$, as I like the fifty cents more than the 23$ from Dell. Fifty cents from 50 mil are better than 23$ from ?...

So IMO, the first step to reach a bundling is the opt-in. (as we had it with DELL). I hope Wave has the same intention with the Seagate deal. It would be nice to see our software be shipped with EACH FDE drive, perhaps at fifty cents!

Remember the 8k from 2005, when the Dell bundling was announced. We all were happy to get FIX revs through this deal. So I hope it´ll be the same with Seagate.

"Besser der Spatz in der Hand als die Taube am Dach"LOL

When we´ve reached BE, things might change, but at this moment I prefer bundling arrangements.
