Ispro: Not quite the same thing!

The Seagate FDE drive is going to be available as an option. The FDE drive provides a huge security benefit to the buyer; Something that no other drive manufacturer offers at this time.

I would think that the marketing theme for the FDE drive will reflect that uniqueness and, additionally, it is ALSO a monopoly situation Seagate finds itself in!

THE FDE DRIVE WILL BE BOUGHT EXCLUSIVELY BECAUSE OF ITS SECURITY FEATURE. THAT IS THE PITCH!

So, expect this drive to cost much - MUCH(!) - more than a "comparable" non-FDE drive.

And "our software" will be bundled with each FDE drive...but not at 50 cents!
