It wouldn't seem logical to expect efficacy to increase with lowering the dose. Lowered doses to prevent AEs is a logical approach in highly effective drugs but Rida was not highly effective.
Except in the case of Ponatinib and AP26113 it's "many months" of life extension, with actually good quality of life for most patients. There are many other cnancer drugs that would fit this MD's comments (are you sure your quote is related to ARAID's drugs?) that offer only a few weeks life extention with poor quality.
