Bob's interaction should be private and the Ventor's should be public because that is what the thread would be for, to vent. Thus the poster could be also deleted if he takes it to another thread.

If you are going to delete a post then account for it.

I agree with BOP and I also agree with you. Bob private the ventor public.

Again, Bob's job is to hold CoB's accountable. The CoB's manage their boards and the individuals that use them. The membership are responsible for following the rules as described where they wish to interact. Unless you feel Anarchy is a more viable organizational system for running a BBS, your argument is invalid.
If you feel it necessary to comment further we should move to the Parking Lot.
