I actually spoke to Tow once. I was still in Italy. He called me in an effort to persuade me that he "wasn't a bad guy". He talked a mile a minute, and called me "ma'am" every ten seconds.
Then he asked me to spend a week with him in Paris. I declined.
The odd thing was that a few months after the MTEI suspension, he gave a couple of boxes of evidence to a disgruntled shareholder who was working to expose the scam. The SEC had requested the information from Tow, and then had returned it, presumably having copied it first.
