Train Guy...everyone, everywhere says that HD is doing all the right things to get their mo back. Nardelli is doing fine in a tough economy. There are some things to which you are not paying attention. First, HD blew by LOW in the early 1990's and hasn't really looked back until now. They will address their problems and once again leave LOW in the dust. Second, HD is spending $400 million to upgrade their stores including taking on appliances to beat LOW. Third, HD has half the debt of LOW, and twice the number of stores. Fourth, HD has combined their nine buying sites into one in Atanta, increasing their buying power immensely. Fifth, contractors (including me, when I was one) universally hate lOW. These are the guys who buy every week, week after week. Sixth and lastly, Avis never did get to be number one, did they?
