Thanks olddog! Though the 10k doesn't talk specifically about what was involved in the "technology transfer", I guess we can assume the agreement, or dissolution of the agreement, probably was similar to the rights Siemens retained.

"In addition, Alcatel agreed to pay
a technology transfer and services fee valued at approximately $25 million. Of
this fee, $5.4 million was paid in March 1998. An additional $12.6 million is
expected to be paid in the 1998-1999 time frame, based on the achievement of
certain product development and commercialization milestones."
