I'll break my promise this one last time to discuss this issue, and then I will not address it again.
I think you are stretching it to call every publicly elected public official a "politician".
Some of them have no political ambitions, or affiliations.
They simply wish to be a public servant and help their neighbors.
The citizens of NO were warned to evacuate.
Some couldn't, but others could and didn't.
That is not the official's fault.
Did the officials get out?
I would hope so, after they recommended it to the citizens.
But the disaster is not all their fault.
Unless you blame every elected official in NO since the city was established.

The subject of politics contributing to disasters is over, and I hope Burp follows my lead and announces it.
