NO, from what I hear, is one of the sleaziest big cities you could visit in the US.

Lot's of slum villages and people on welfare.

MY point?

Is that the politicians fault or the fault of the populace?

A locality/local officials can only do so much with the available funds.

So with lots of people not paying taxes, or a minimal amount of taxes, there was probably not any excess funds to speak of.

Now, the disaster has happened, we're trying to get help to them, and the assholes are shooting at the rescue helicopters.

Why?

Because they want to be the next ones rescued and don't want thier neighbors to be rescued first.

Is that also the politicians fault?

I reiterate,

This disaster had nothing to do with politics.

And this is my last post on the subject of politics and disasters.
