You’re entitled to your opinion on MON, which I respect even though I don’t agree with it. Despite the anti-Monsanto machinations by manifold anti-corporate and “natural foods” groups, which you are eager to bring to my attention, I don’t see how the world’s shortage of food for its growing population can be fixed without innovative biotechnology.
Based on the above premise, MON is (IMO) one of the companies most certain to benefit in the long run from The Global Demographic Tailwind. Thus, despite a somewhat stretched valuation on a raw-P/E basis, MON is one of the largest holdings in the institutional portfolio I manage and is also a sizable holding in my personal account.
