RootOfTrust,

I'm kind of excited waiting for the delayed launch of the new Samsung Smart Phone/New Android OS. It was supposed to happen on Oct/11/11 but was delayed. The new rumour is Oct.18/11 in Hong Kong.

I like the sounds of this (we shall see):

"Tech specs are all, of course, unconfirmed, but the most recent leak claims it'll arrive powered by a Texas Instruments OMAP processor - which is dual-core - running with a dual core 1.5GHz processor. It'd better have a big battery as well."

(WD) Also I posted this some time ago:

"Introduction

Security of Motorola Droid-family phones based on two important technologies:

1.eFuse cells for one-time blowing to increment counter for security purposes

2.M-Shield protection, solution from Texas Instruments special for cellular networks (similar as SecureShield from Quallcomm)

M-Shield

This is an extended implementation of MTM (Mobile Trusted Module) of Trusted Computing Group, based on reference design of MTM, and embedded into OMAP chip. Also it support TrustZone ARM technology. It's located on it's own ROM/RAM and in M-Shield only software emulation - see TrustZone specification. Both, Secure and Insecure world are running on one core. From insecure world it's called by the SMC ARM instruction
