alalud, good well thought out post. I commend you for your good intentions and ideas re charity, and the Hab. for Humanity does a lot of good things. Many here on this board share your compassion to help others less fortunate as was exemplified by the support I received in my recent Muscular Distrophy fundraiser.

Many supported generously (you'd be surprised), some criticized the effort (expected), others just ignored it altogether (I was surprised, LOL) ... a typical bellcurve of human interest and compassion vs. indifference and cynicism I suppose... but I was pleased with the support I got here. As Arth said, we all try to help in our own ways and when we can.

Maybe Harry and Howard could spearhead your efforts... I hear they got plenty of money, and at least one has some extra time on his hands... don't hold your breath.
