Loop, I have enormous respect for you and your opinions, but on this one I have to disagree. I have seen NO ONE jumping for glee at the possible removal of HC, nor do I see the reports of Ron and Corp as stating half truths or rumors to simply muddy the reputation of HC. They have simply set out the compensation of HC over the last few years and asked a totally legitimate question regarding what was he being paid for and for how long will it go on. His minimal loan years ago, long since repaid, should not yield him an extremely large remuneration for the indefinite future. I am sorry that you disagree with the ISS report, but nowhere in your comments did I see where their report was in error. Yes I am sure they get paid well from their corporate clients. They definitely have an adgenda which sounds very much like Corp's but that, in and of itself, does not weigh against their opinion unless something they have stated is not true. I also truly resent the attempt to destroy our leaders and country, but to equate that with the instant situation does not fly IMHO.
SECOND MATTER, wouldn't it be great to have IDCC long timers agree to share a small portion of their new found wealth (assuming what I and nearly 100% of all posters believe) with a needed charity such as Habitat for Humanity. Can you image what a great boost that would give to society and set an example for other winners regarding true wealth? It could be done with increased valued shares so the tax consequences would be nil other than a large deduction. This would meet some of Bill D's great posts on wireless ledger. As a retired attorney, I am inactive and not allowed to practice, but it seems you or one of the other attorneys in practice could set up a mechanism to allow us to donate into it as a group and carry out the idea behind BD's True wealth. What sum could we raise is we all agreed to a 1-3% donation from any profit into this suggestion? Just a thought and perhaps others could comment.
