My real concern is the spit in your face attitude toward the guy most responsible for holding the company together for more than a decade. These guys would not have a shot at this potential great return had this guy never arrived on the scene. What does this tell the remaining talent that has stuck with him over the years? If you make money for a tough assignment, you are a scumbag. The man was the CEO for several years whether they want to admit it or not. It is not just this incident. I am tired of Americans so vocally criticizing our own leaders. When did it become kool to question everything about others rather than worry about your own positive contributions to society. Our press that operates freely because of our veterans do more to make others hate us with off the wall public figure bashing than any other source.
When I was a kid, if a guy on our block got jumped by another block, we had a meeting immediately. If our leader said we were going to fight, we fought. We did not sit around and criticize his decision or spread our plans to others. Why? Because we were taught that way. It applied to any leader, and , yes, it included the president. When it was time to go to war, we went 100% and were backed 100%. Those that felt otherwise were told to hit the road.
I will tell you Brad, give me a camera and a good film editor plus a media outlet and I can make any person in power look silly. This is not talent anymore. It is ruthless destruction of human beings just like the rest of us that made the simple mistake of stepping up to be a leader.
When will it stop? When will we finally say that the next guy that attempts to uncover our war plans to tip the enemy with a media production gets his nuggets crushed? Freedom of speech is one thing, but reckless revelations of half truths that keep our enemy informed should not be acceptable. Publishing twisted polls for the world to see and conclude that America is no good is another practice that should be reviewed. Watching the news while I am laid up has been a terrible experience. It is no small wonder now how it has become kool to sit back and criticize the efforts of others. It is more like a sport. Let's see, how many successful people can we bring down to shame this week.
Sorry for the rant, but the ISS report got me. It reads as if drawn up by our own posters. Amazingly, this organization probably charges a healthy sum for advising the institutions. I doubt seriously that they interviewed anyone from the company. They took the information supplied to them by shareholder activists and reported almost word for word.
I will live with it because HC got us to the very level that could be his demise, but it sickens me to watch the gleeful destruction of his name and reputation.
