RE: Pat/mental health care insurance.

Why is it with you and spall, that every problem a corporation has, or causes, is either the fault of the consumer, or the responsibility of the consumer to fix? Do you not see that if one side has NO responsibility or restrictions, and the other side has all the responsibility and restrictions, that you have an unfair situation? Corporations don't give a phuck about employees, customers, safety, or the environment. They're not designed that way. They're designed to survive, and make a profit. They have no conscience, morals, or master. Why should it be MY responsibility to have to go without a product because the company who makes it is making unsafe products, or charging too much, or ruining the environment. Why should a worker be required to be without work for months or years, to force a company to provide safe working conditions, a living wage, adequate health care? The corporations responsibility here? None. They'll get away with doing as little for the consumer, or worker as possible. Every company of any size figures death due to unsafe conditions into their budget. Does that tell you anything? They figure it's cheaper to settle a lawsuit, than prevent the death.

For instance, the power crunch here in California. Most blame a faulty de-regulation plan for the mess. But just the month before the crisis, one company sent $5,000,000,000 in profits to their parent company, and then told the stae they needed to declare bankruptcy. Why wasn't that money used to purchase power at a reasonable rate when they could get it? Because they don't give a phuck about the consumer. They knew that either the government would bail them out, or, as is happening, they would be able to jack their rates up so that they can make an even bigger profit. Meanwhile the small businesses are losing money because of the blackouts. They also overcharged California consumers $5,500,000,000 last month, but they're sill broke? They're so obviously ripping everybody off, but there's nothing we can do about it, because they're private companies, and they're all we got (and they know it).

Corporations will phuck you, your wife, your kids, your dog, and make you smile and say "thank you" while they're doing it. And this is who you want to run the world?
