How many workers pushed to get better health insurance over higher wages? The companies will only give so much, and its up to the workers to ask for what they want.

So how would an insurance company act when it comes to a large block of people who will get insurance somewhere else if that company will not provide it? The more people act together, the stronger their collective bargaining power. That is what makes unions so good at extorting money from businesses.
