sarai, In 1969, 2 years before I was exposed to the risk of being sent to Vietnam, I began to study what was happening in that far away place. I soon realised that we had no business there and began to question war altogether. On May, 4, 1970 something died in my heart. That was respect for authority. I have pestered friends and acquaintences ever since when our country calls our brave men to die or kill others in the defense of our "freedoms". When one digs into the story one finds the lie that this is not for freedom of the US but rather it usually is to serve the corrupt interests of big businesses. War is for the lazy who want it all, do not care one whit for those soldiers who fight it and will not go to the trouble of finding a better solution.
