I have no money and yet I always buy the extended warranty on any product from Best Buy or wherever. Why not? With my last laptop it paid for 2 battery replacements and another covered repair. What is it usually - $59 or something for an extended warranty and service plan? I gave the laptop to my dad when I got a new one - it's still running. A couple of months ago I spent money I didn't have to buy a new flat screen. Samsung is the best I was told. That thing lasted 2 days and imploded in on itself. Does that mean every Samsung TV is a piece of junk? No, it's called life - things happen. I sort of don't get the point. Extended warranty does not = bad product. All equipment especially when in heavy use has a certain depreciation. By this logic I should not bother to pay my outrageous monthly health care premium because doing so assumes I am unhealthy. No - it's just there if I need it and if I am willing to have that security. I say great on them for developing their business in that area. They should get some help in the sales and marketing departments to develop the other areas too. Next 10Q is by 15 May.
