That's very interesting, especially the coincidence in dates. I read the removal of the auditor as a genuine reason, but looks like your contact is saying she believes it is just a ruse. The only snag is that in fact it appears that the auditor really has run into CPA difficulties and other companies have dropped them as well, eg Metwood:

This would lend credibility to dropping the auditor as being the true reason behind the recent 8KA and the subsequent failure to comply notice, rather than a ruse to go "dark" whilst matters are being dealt with behind the scenes. I really do not know.
