In regards to the bots, when the stock is at least $1.00 on the bid the bots can buy/sell all day by the millions making .005 moves where retail investors cannot get in on the fraction moves. Below $1.00 they have to fight for .0001 moves - making the play far less attractive. So does that mean the bot players want it over 1.00? Who knows, but once there is has a very difficult time going any higher.
