That is exactly the point. When more people are on the receiving end than the giving end of government, then we have reached the point of full-fledged Socialism. Hence, the tyranny of the majority over the minority and the major flaw of any Democracy.

In the same manner, WE, as a nation, have agreed to take care of the needy, and to pay the taxes required to do so. There is no law that says we MUST, but also no law that says we CAN'T.

Of course there is a law that says we must. It is called taxes. The government forces us to pay a certain amount of our income to social programs.

You are one of those who disagree with this national compact. You would rather see people starve, die of disease, and have even stated that risking the end of our civilization is not too great a price to prevent having to spend MONEY.

I never said that. I have no problem with a society that encourages charity giving. I do have a problem with a government that forces people at gun-point to give charity.

Second, slavery. You need to study some philosophy and psychology to get a grasp of what you are speaking.

I am currently taking Political Philosophy and Ideology. I have taken Political Science, Constitutional Law, Business Law and Ethics, and Psychology. Is that enough for you in order for me to state my opinion or need I study more in order to speak with you, oh wise one?

Your long-winded last paragraph said absolutely nothing. You chose to ignore the last sentence in the article I posted before. "As the great German thinker Johann Goethe once pointed out, no person is more enslaved than one who falsely believes he is free." The initiation of force is not compatible with freedom, whether the victim is willing to submit or not.

You can call me all of the names you want, but your Socialism always shows through. You have no respect for the basic right of property, as you have no respect for the basic right of liberty. Life, liberty, and property. Two out of three pretty much sucks in my book. When the all of Socialist countries of the world fail within the next century, as many of them did in the past century, don't come crying to us evil Capitalists telling us you are sorry. We couldn't give a flying rats ass about you and your ilk.
