From some research I have done and talking to those in the design field, every year the tankless units become better and better in preventing scale buildup. New material designs as well as electronic methods are being used and further tested to nearly eliminate the scale buildup and maintain efficiency. I assume they are testing ultrasonics but can't be for sure. A short burst using ultrasonics when the unit is sitting idle helps tremendously in maintaining and "cleaning" if you will, the electric coils. Well, if they are not, I just gave them the idea.
Let's hope WDRP can accomplish what their website specs claim for their tankless unit.
