Fred, re: marking worthy posts

Eventhought Bob and/or Matt already replied that while
the Keep feature we all have for posts posted to us is
here & now, it is costly to allow us to Keep posts that
we read and not posted to us.
BUT
If enough insight from us to sway Bob & Matt to realize
that this high cost will return dividends in a few years
such that iHub will be knowned as having not only
the fastest message posting & viewing,
but also features lacking on other message boards.
BUT # 2
Bob & Matt have to allow more than one iHub god,
that being of speed :o) where "iHub can do what you
other message boards can do, but faster"
and
relax a little and let that iHub devil of
"to take up space and get in my way
of the reason I came here -- to read messages."
to romp its evil ways on a longer leash
as in,
iHub has both improved versions of whats already
out there, and has "home grown via user requests"
brand new features that will both help keep membership
and build membership(aka paying types.)

... count how many times a message is being read.
... how would that "add" to the site/viewing pleasure?[stop.]
(i say)
If done, then it could result in false importants attached
to posts that have a high read count since for example
most all posts on the Zeev Turnip thread are read hundreds
of times versus another important board that for example
Zeev posts on but those 500+ who PeopleMarked Zeev
only do so that they can read his posts off the Turnip thread,
and most likely the posts Zeev reads on onther threads
are themselves of high quality since Zeev read them,
but they didn't get read by those 500+ folks.

Matt, do you suppose this request is related to the notion
of marking worthy posts ... which is not a bad idea. Fred[stop.]
(with) * the Keep feature *
If extended to allow all posts to be Keep,
then as an extention to this *to me valuable* feature
more so for traders than like me,
it would be valuable to me and most likely everyone else
if,
for the extreme case
every Keep post iHub WIDE
was appended(address only)
to a read-only thread called "worthy posts via Keeps"
so that anyone can visit and simply Read Next 10...100
and read what all others on all of iHub think as "keep'able"
so that,
not only is the content read,
but on what thread
and by whom read (EDIT - NOPE, NOT ATTACHED)
and the post creator & sent to person
also,
a simple "don't allow duplicates" will be done
plus, no need to sort/order by time but just append
it to the board thread as the Keep is done.
