k9narc: I don't disagree with the logic of that statement, what better way to add additional mud to the water and murk everything up even more.
However, it comes back to the law firm they hired. Maybe I'm dreaming that a big reputable law firm would walk away from a case that has a scam tied to it. I guess I really don't know if they would take the 100K + in fees and not care about the possible reputational hit if it was a big scam. I would hope they would want to maintain a good reputaion, but you really never truely know.
I know you are in law enforcement and maybe you have investigated white collar crime, the one thing I have learned when I have completed investigations is that the money trail doesn't lie. It may twist and turn and really snake around but in the end the trail doesn't lie.
That is the area we don't know, who were the buyers and sellers, that is one of the million dollar questions along with does the device really work.
Bottom line I really have no frickin clue, but either I lose an addition 3K of my initial investment or it comes back and I regain my investment, only time will tell.
