The trouble is that I can't get rid of the XXXX thing. Using Vista tried to uninstall IE8 from the update list no luck. Tried the site mentioned on a earlier message here Couldn't find it.
May have something to do with the fact that I have been trying to install SP2 for Vista and am not sure if it took or not. The Windoze update list keeps wanting me to download it.
I have not tried a system restore yet.
