For once, I staggered the planting of my tomato plants. It will make the harvest easier without everything ripening at once. My sweet million tomatoes are growing quickly.

I'm giving my butternut squash another shot this year even though I've be unsuccessful to for the past two years. I planted the four seeds together and planted them together, as I've been told they like to grow in company that way. I composted the area very well and deep. Now all I need is some extended sun.

My cucumber plants are doing very well. I had not planted them in this part of the garden for two years and that might be the key.

Since I have limited sun, I try to grow everything as high as possible. That's why I use containers with trellises and with the reflection of the sun off of my white house, I have a better chance to grow things.

Agree with you about the bush beans. I had a nice, but limited harvest. Pole beans will rule in the future.
