dig space--re: Janus Metering. I received the same massive bashing and lack of support when I declared a few years ago the Hitachi Kid Card would use WAVE's Metering. It was quite obvious at the time, but of course few paid attention. Turned out I was right.

NEC was also impressed enough with WAVE's patents on Metering to want to include WAVE Metering in NEC Trusted PCs a few years ago. Keep in mind, that the WAVE Meter was foundational to the mission of the company for most of its existence. Add it up, and sure appears that the Meter patent is very sound and very strong.

Steven Sprague has made vague and contradictory statements regarding WAVE's relationship to JANUS and Metering. Why some on this board insist that they have gained access to such very, very privileged information is beyond me. Until there is a public release of information there will continue to be NO OFFICIAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT by WAVE.

Since you have declared yourself something of an expert on the patents surrounding WAVE Meter, let me ask you this:
If WAVE is providing the Metering for JANUS, would WAVE's metering component need to be included in the JANUS portable device at the point of manufacture?
