Funny you mention that... I have a thermofocus, as I posted before, and it works great on the kids and other temperatures (like water, soup...etc)...but last week a baby squirrel fell out of one of my trees (about 80 feet) rolled down my roof and onto my driveway and the little sucker is still alive!...We've been feeding and caring for him every 3 hrs...(kids made me do it) and use the thermofocus to check his temp and bed temp regularly.... works great! because I don't think a regular one'll fit up his .... :)

Honest to God we are using it on an animal now and it has been very helpful to test his food temp and body temp regularly.... Survived a HUGE fall and roll and is growing....

the kids named him BONZI (Kids Amer version of Bonsai).... :)
