Nice post.
I saw a portion of DR's Senate Armed Services Comm appearance on THE NEWSHOUR last night and he looked weak, to say the least. Sen John McCain was tough on him - insisting more than 1x that DR answer the questions and not defer to the armed servicemen sharing the table with him.
Jim Lehrer mentioned that all (3) major commercial networks carried these hearings - which meant they cancelled their highly profitable daytime programs.
That, IMO, is very interesting.
