I just had seen a short clip of Rumsfeld saying I'm sorry. Reminded me of the bully who was told by the teacher to tell the kid he just teased he was sorry. He said it, but his heart wasn't in it. Of course, I just saw a short clip. I don't think Rumsfeld understands the significance of this whole event to the world..... providing confirmation of what they want to believe about Americans and erasing the ability of others to argue with them.
Its going to be a lot tougher now to make that human rights argument to other countries and at the U.N. Unless of course Bush acts quickly to get Rumsfeld's resignation.
