So here's a question. By now some/most of you have seen Clarity789's posts regarding his own proprietary fibonacci calcualtion of some sort. Sometimes they're uncannily accurate, sometimes they're not.

i.e. - http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=29365559

He posts volume/high/low/close history for X amount of days, fine.

Now, he's come up with three proprietary terms:

"working float"

"Effective Float"

"Estimated Real Float"

None of these terms are defined, nor is it explained how they are derived. Additionally, conclusions are purported to be made on these data i.e.-"HEAVY DILUTION is indicated", wheras elsewhere he's explained that his calcualtions "detect selling" or an increase in the shares in the marketplace, but cannot distinguish between dilution or shorting.

My question is this. Should he be required to use some sort of disclaimer, or explain his process when he is apparently reporting these numbers as "FACT", when there is no indication as to how they're derived?

Clarity, perhaps you should start a board to explain your calculations, and track a dozen or so stocks to illustrate the effectiveness or not of your calcuations.

I bring this up, as on many boards this has become a heated topic of discussion as to whether his data is accurate or not, and whether it should be posted AS data, or rather as OPINION...and has led to many deleted posts.

This post is meant to foster discussion about this, not to discredit nor to endorse his method.
